TCS Interview Experience-1

TCS Interview Process - Techno India, Salt Lake
Hi all,

Today I am going to share my interview experience of TCS drive.

The apti was on 3rd Sept and interview was on 6th Sept. The apti test has two sections. In the first section, you need to write an email with the given keywords in 10 mins and min 50 words. Please mind that this is the elimination round of TCS because this year email writing was very tough. They used to give uncommon words and phrases. So I will suggest to practice email writing very well and increase your typing speed because you will have only 10 minutes for this and do not skip any of the keywords. Use all the keywords as it is given i.e do not change the verb form also.

As far as quantitative part is concerned, first solve all the questions thoroughly from IndiaBix. I attempted 21 questions out of 30. The cut off of TCS apti round is from 12-15. So, if you get 20 then you will surely crack this round.

In the interview round, they asked questions on DBMS, Networks, etc. Prepare your CV very well because they are gonna ask each and everything from your CV. Mainly they are looking for a person having avg technical knowledge but should have good communication skill. So speaking skills are very much important.

I answered all the questions confidently and on 8th sept results were announced and my name was on the list.

Best of luck to all, prepare well, be confident while answering and the job is your's.

Best wishes,
Dhiraj Singh

TCS Interview Experience - TRIVANDRUM 29/09/2016
First is the email writing part, 10 min is there for this. Some keywords will be given. We should prepare an email in 10 min. All keywords are mandatory.

The next one is Aptitude test. It contains quantitative as well as logical reasoning questions. There are 30 questions and 80 min for this. An on-screen calculator will be provided. There are star questions which carry extra marks. There is negative marking also. Most of the questions were repeated. If you get an answer different from that of options and if you are sure about your answer then it will be a dummy question. Don't answer it.

Interview has three parts technical, managerial and HR.

Those who clear the technical part can go for MR and HR. Sometimes MR and HR will be combined. Most of programming and ongoing trends like IOT, Cloud computing, etc, will be asked. Details about project and seminar will also be asked. In MR and HR you can expect puzzles and personal questions. Sometimes technical questions will also be asked in HR round.

Confidence is all that matters. It's not about how much you know. It's about how you can present your answers.

TCS Interview Process - BVCOE, New Delhi 27-28-29 September 2016
TCS came to my college for campus drive in September.

First day (27th Sept), they arranged a PPT (Pre Placement Talk) for us. Around 310 students applied for the placement including all branches and MCA.

Next day (28th Sept), they had an online aptitude + verbal test (90 minutes).

1. The students having 77% in their B.Tech were the test waivers and they have to only give the verbal (Email writing) round.

2. Two CodeVita champions were given direct entry to the interview round.

I got 75% so I had to give the aptitude round as well.

ABOUT THE APTITUDE TEST:

1. 30 quantitative questions to be solved in 80 mins.

2. The level of questions was quite challenging and hard.

3. 80 mins are enough to solve all the questions but if you solve only 65% questions correctly, you are through.

4. Don't waste time on star questions if you are not able to solve them at first go. Better solve the easy ones to gain marks.

5. Try the Open sesame tests available at TCS nextstep site and refer to the sites like IndiaBix.

6. There is a good chance that some previous year questions may repeat the test.

ABOUT THE VERBAL TEST:

1. The email writing part had a duration of 10 mins in which you have to read the instructions carefully.

2. Try some mock tests so that you won't miss any instruction at that time.

3. Don't change the form and punctuation of the words given in the question.

4. Try to write your mail  with a word count of 70-80 words and complete it in 8 mins. So that you can easily review the mail again.

RESULT OF THE TEST:

Out of 310 students, 226 students were selected for the interview round.

The interview round was on 29th September and started at 9AM.

The interview round was divided into 3 rounds:

1. Technical.

3. Can you relocate?

TCS IT came to our campus recently, in Sept 2016.

First round was online test, which had two sections - verbal and aptitude.

In verbal, we had to write an email in 10 mins, and aptitude contained only mathematical questions which were off 80 mins. So total 90 mins online test.

114 students were selected out of approx 150.

Then followed Technical and HR interviews.

Technical:

1. Questions on projects.

2. If you had to design an e-commerce website, what would be your approach?

3. Program to generate random numbers (any language).

4. What is database and data warehouse?

5. How do you sort entries in a database?

6. Which type of programs should be written in C and which type in Java? He told not to use any technical terms, just explain to a layman.

HR:

3. Tell me something which is not written in your CV.

4. What makes you angry?

5. Do you have any plans for higher studies? I said no, so she asked Why?

Tata Consultancy Services Interview Process - Coimbatore, Sept-15 2016
TCS <Sept - 15 - 2016>

I applied through College/campus Drive.

The registration process was lengthy.

Fill the form online and go through the 'Apply for drive' option.

Be ready with soft copy of your resume and passport size photo to upload.

There were 3 steps:

1) Pre-placement Talk.
2) Online test.
2) HR and Technical Interview (Together).

Pre-placement Talk. (About 90 min)

It was really boring. Sukanya (a TCS employee with more than 10 years experience) Explained about many things they do. Although I'm happy to know that TATA does many good things for India.

Alternative for placement talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVUngYdOHK0  [You can save 90 min].

Online Test: (Total: 90 min)

First 10 min was for the verbal part, we have to write an email.

Question for me was:

"Wite an E-mail to Bank Branch manager Mr.Alex, requesting to block your credit card since your wallet with credit have been lost 2 days back. Sign in the Email as Mr.William" Minimum 50 words.

8-10 phrases will be given to be included in the E-mail (Cannot recollect the exact phrases now)

Suggestions for Email Writing:

# Don't think too much on how to include the phrases, just start typing a sentence and modify as you progress.

# Include the words/phrases in the same form. (This is really important, Because if you change the form, system won't be able to recognize while evaluation.)

# You must address the E-mail to the given name. (only to the given name).

# Remember to sign the E-mail.

# It's better to practise E-mail writing before going for the test. Many online resources are available.

# Minimum words will be provided in the question (For me it was 50). I like to remind you that if your E-mail is less than 50 words. It won't be evaluated. A word counter was there in the interface.

Aptitude Test:

There were 30 questions (including 2-star questions). Allowed time was 80 min.
[Negative marking was there (0.33 marks)]
Virtual Scientific Calculator was integrated.

~ A star figure was given. Find the total sum of all the 5 angles.

# Problems on Ratio and Allegation
# Work and Time.
# Distance and Speed
# Plane Geometry(1-star questions was based on this)
# Fractions (1-star question on this.)

I am sorry friends, I am having a bad memory that I don't remember much questions came to me. But I'll tell you my suggestions and I am sure the pattern will be same for you. TCS won't change their pattern frequently.

Suggestions for Aptitude:

- While registering through NextStep, You might have noticed the OpenSeesame add, Guys it is really worth if you click on it and take the trial test. Most of the questions were on the same concepts and the interface of the test was same. It really helped.

- Some of the questions were taken from old TCS papers without any changes.

- It is not that difficult. Try to mark 20-22 correct answers without any negatives to be confident.

- I am sure that Openseesame will get you through.

The results came on the same day late night with your name, other details, and (stream). Please don't think that this stream is the one which you gave while applying. I gave IT as my first preference but in the results. my stream was EIS (Engineering and Industrial service).
My friend who gave only EIS while applying was put in IT stream.

Interview was on the following day. There were 30-35 panels with each panel having 3 interviewers. 3 panels were only for EIS stream.

Only the first batch interviews happened on the scheduled time :D so be prepared to wait. Mine was around 12:30 in the afternoon. Like I said, there were 3 people. (I guess 2 were there for technical and 1 HR)

Hi Arjun,

- Was it a hectic day for you?
- Tell me about yourself.
- What is your Area of Interests?
- Many questions on my area of interests. (Be prepared)
- So, why not Higher studies?
- Write a program to generate random numbers.
- Write a program to swap 2 numbers without using a temporary variable.
- Okay, So tell me about your projects.
- Some questions on Projects.(Be prepared)
- Do you have any questions? (Never say NO)

It took around 20 min for me. Some of my friends were asked about TATA products, CEO and many things about TCS. Focus on your projects and Area of Interests. Know about everything written on your resume.

Be prepared to answer anything. Be polite and show confidence.

Good Luck to all.

TCS Interview Experience - Sir MIT college Bengaluru, 16 & 17 Sept 2016
Hi guys, I would like to share my experience about TCS campus placements drives which happened recently at my college Sir MVIT college Bengaluru in Sept 2016. The campus drive was for all Engineering branches and MCA (I'm from MCA).

As everyone knows that TCS is one of the leading IT company in the world. The approach of TCS is to get almost all of the toppers of the college and most of the talented students, so you need to be very attentive and give more than your best if you want to get placed in TCS.

About the eligibility criteria:
There were 2 categories for direct TR, MR & HR

1. The students who had 83% in the current course.
2. Top 5 students of every branch.

I was not in any of those categories so I had to write aptitude test.

About the selection procedure:

There will be 4 rounds- Aptitude, Technical, Managerial and HR round.

Aptitude round will be the toughest among all 4. To clear aptitude start preparing at least 15-20 days before the test. There will be 28 questions (Difficulty level: High) and two-star marked questions.

The star marked questions will carry more marks but keep in mind there will be -5 marks for every wrong star question and for others -0.33 marks. So attempt only those which you know. If you score 60% in the aptitude test you are into the next round.

There were almost 550 students who appeared for aptitude test and 203 students cleared the aptitude round.

The next round for me was TR & MR combined

They asked me more about my projects (As I had done 3 projects and in addition to that I had developed 3 websites so they were interested in more of that)
They also asked me simple JAVA, C, C++ questions like:

Features of JAVA, difference b/w Interface and abstract class, write a program to find perfect number and write a program displaying "Hello world" without using semicolon(;)

cleared the TR & MR round.

Now in the HR round, most of the HRs were ladies. After some 1hr I was called for HR.

She asked me all normal questions like,

1. Introduce yourself.

2. Tell me about your projects?

3. She also asked me about the website I had developed(I showed all the websites over the internet to her, she was very impressed).

4. Why TCS?

5. If I have any problems working in night shift or not?

6. Why does TCS have 1-year bond policy?

and more,

The HR round lasted almost 35 minutes.

After 5 days the results were announced and 65 students were selected, I was among them.

Thanks for reading and wish you all the luck.

TCS Interview Experience - Visakhapatnam & 16-09-2016
Drive conducted by TCS.

There are three phase of rounds:

PHASE 1:

Part1: Email writing:

Should be more than 50 words just write the phases and add some words according to that sign in and addressing should be as per given.

Part2: Quantitative aptitude:

TCS repeats questions every this year also repeated but this year cutoff was increased some time cut off depends on upon the branch wise. Those 8 CGPA, they don't have to write think in mind interviews are going to be prepare accordingly but they have to write email.

PHASE 2:

Technical round:

They will ask according to branch. As I am NON-IT branch. He just focused on my core my industrial experience some basics about C language.

Meanwhile, he asks, why you you are IT field and you will answer something and Mr involves and try to demotivate you, so you should not tempt.

Mr will ask Tell about yourself, Weakness, etc. Normal questions like HR.

Finally comes HR round.

HR will test you only communication and TCS  service agreement or not so many are involved.

You should have the only presence of mind sense of humor some knowledge about your resume and results are declared. I was one of the selected candidate from 525 members.

TCS eliminates mainly on WRITTEN TEST, TR, MR, and HR.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TCS Interview Experience - 15/9/2016
I was in branch top 5. That's why I didn't get through apti round. I only given e-mail n selected for PI.

Email:

You have to use all phrases sequentially with no grammar and spelling errors. Matter in the mail is not checked.

I am electronics student.

In technical round, they asked what is logic gates and draw its truth table.

- What is deadlock and page fault?
- What is programmable logic array?
- What is vmax and vmin in dec?
- They asked to write C program to check no is prime or not?

Then I went for HR.

They asked.,

- Tell my about yourself.
- About your parents.
- Hobbies
- You scored highest marks in your branch then why this job. Go for M.Tech.

I told that I'm not prepared yet. After gaining some experience. I will decide to go for further studies or not.

Then they asked for location preference. I told I like to learn different life style and culture. So I can go anywhere.

After that, I was called for the third round. They have given me one puzzle.

X(x-a)(x-b)....(x-z)
I said 0.

Asked what is patent copy right and intellectual property.

I told everything with smile.

Tips:

- Attitude should be good.
- Don't express that you know every thing.
- Try to showcase that you have learning ability.
- Don't get nervous.
- They might confuse you.

I was selected for IT section.

Thanks.

Tata Consultancy Service Interview Experience - Techno India, Saltlake, Kolkata 5 - 8.09.2016
Hello friends,

This is Snehasis Mondal from Techno India Saltlake, pursuing my B-Tech in ECE. I'm a 3rd year student. Last 5th September, TCS visited our campus. We have 3 colleges to be interviewed by TCS. So the whole program was of 3 days. 5th September, the first day was allotted for TISL for interview. Our Aptitude and Verbal Test was on 3rd Sept.

Total students were divided into 4 section.

1. Those candidates, who ranked within 1600 in Codevita (They don't had to give this Apti and Verbal test).

2. Those candidates, who were in top 5 (T-5). (They don't had to give apti, but had to give Verbal Test).

3. Those students who had scored 75%, throughout their career.  (They got same privileges as Top-5).

4. Rest of the student.  (They had to appear in all the test).

I had 88% in Madhyamik, 85% in HS & 9.1 (83.5%) in B.Tech. So, I was in 3rd category & I don't had to give aptitude but had to appear for the Email writing.

Here I want to share my & some of my friends experience separately, As I don't had to go through all the processes.

I was given 10 minute time with a topic - "Your company has recruited a visually challenged person and the person was doing great job and got promotion. Write an Email to HR to thank him for giving the person the opportunity".

There was 12-14 simple words which I had to use in the Email and I had to see that the no of word is more than 50. Though there is no upper word limit, But it is better to not exceed 100 words and not to write essay.

MY TIPS:

Write the given word or phrase first. Then try write the email as filling the blanks. No need to waste your time in writing subject of the mail.

M: Sir, C and basic JAVA.

I: Being in Electronics you know programming? Okay write a program.
M: Which prog sir?

I: Write anything you like. Just don't write too easy program.
M:  (I was amazed and confused, As I've listened many experiences where interviewer bullies the candidate. I wrote the program of finding a no, is prime or not) Sir, this is the program.

I:  (he checked the program) Very good Snehasis, It seems you know programing.
M: Sir, I've cleared first round of CodeVita.

I: Oh great. You've told you know Java. Tell me How JAVA achieves platform independency?
M: Told the concept of Byte Code.

I: Which compiler you use in C?
M: Codeblocks.

I: How it works?
M: Told? (I needed clarification in this question, which they provided while I asked).

I: Which training have you done?
M: Akashvani broadcasting.

I: How can IT be involved in Akashvani?
M: Told.

I: If we transfer you to Pune, is there any problem?
M: No, sir.

I: Which skills you need to improve before joining to TCS you think ?
M: Communication and Coding.

I:  (they asked some personal question about my family) Do you have any question for us?
M: No, sir.

(then they extended their hand for handshake. I was not expecting this. I handshaked. It is not mandatory to do it by yourself. But if you do, do it properly. Not with too stiff hand or lazy hand. ).

I: We are done with you, you may go.
M: Thank you sir.

(The whole process took 20-30 minute. Within 15 minute I got called for the HR round. My HR was Group HR. ).

HR ROUND:
********

There was 12-15 students were called in a room at a moment from different streams. Some of our mark sheets and documents were verified randomly. In the room they asked some random general question towards all about TCS. Eg-What TCS do? why foreign companies prefers tcs ?What is the address of TCS site? What is TCS bonds? Why TCS this kind of questions. They had not marked anyone, who were answering. I haven't given any answer, as I was not asked to. After 15 minutes of this, they told us that we can leave for the day. My Interview was finished.

RESULT:
******

9.09.16 at 2.30am I got the list of selected students & my name was in the list.

MY TIPS:
******

Interview process is going to be a long duration process. So, please bring dry foods and fruits with you in sufficient amount. Carry water. After long hours you may get dehydrated. Keep a smiling face always in the Interview room, but don't laugh. I hope you know the difference between laugh and smile.

FRIENDS EXPERIENCE:
##############

EVENT- APTITUDE:
*****

This year's Apti question was very tough. But if you practice from IndiaBix you will get 80% question common. This year there were 18-20 question from the site. Follow the site.

EMAIL WRITING - Some of them got question of Complaint to the chairman of your municipality about construction hazards and such kind of problems. Words provided were very easy and known. But the no of words were large. So keep your cool and follow the previous mail writing suggestion. Try to recheck at least once whether all the given words are used in order or not. Please change the order and form of the words. It's better to do common silly grammatical mistakes than miss the word by changing the form.

EVENT- INTERVIEW:
*****

TECHNICAL:
*********

In Interview they mainly ask subject knowledge, they don't expect great programmers. So try to tackle subject questions too with ease. Most common programs which they ask are- Fibonacci, Factorial, Prime No, Swapping without third variable, call by value & call by reference program and explanations. Though it also depends on your luck and interviewer. One of my friend got a question to Print her name. They had given some puzzles to solve to some of my friends. Eg- First problem of River Crossing game (a boat with a sheep, cabbage and wolf) , how will you 120 with only using 0, how will you draw 3 concentric circle intersecting by a line without drawing the pen from the paper, some of them got Sudoku to solved. The guys from CodeVita had to carry the submitted programs in the contest and had to explain the program.

HR:
***

There are 2 types of HR. Group HR (which I've faced and described earlier) , Personal HR. In this second type of HR they try to understand you. They may bully u, try you to loose your calm. Don't lose your cool. Don't give absurd answer in frustration.

MY TIPS:
******

There are some of my friend who had to give 3 rounds of interviews & some of them gave only 1 round but both of the two kinds got selected. When what works, none never know. So don't break down in pressure. They may question you in your mother language. Try to answer them in English. Because it can be a trap. And most importantly don't bluff. If you watch movies, play video games tell them that. Don't say you read technical journals, newspapers, technologies if you don't have any idea about that. If you don't understand anything from interviewer ask him to repeat, this is not a discredit. Try to listen the whole question first from the interviewer then answer.

Best of luck for TCS. Waiting to meet you in TCS.

P.S:
***

Indiabix has helped me a lot in my preparation. I had promised myself that if I get selected in TCS, I'll share my experiences in Indiabix for others help.

P.P.S:
****

This is a very long written experience. So, there can be many grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. This is purely because I had to write many things in a short time span. Please forgive me for these silly mistakes.

Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology.
Hi friends,

I am Sai Krishna(IT) from Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology (hyderabad). I had my campus recruitment drive on 7th Sept, 2016.

On 1st September we had written test. As my percentage was above 80 in by B.TECH & 75% above in my class X and XII, so I had to sit for only verbal test i.e. email writing.

Practice each and every question from this website. Make sure that you should use all the phrases given in the email writing. Do check your keyboard once before starting of the exam.

For those who are preparing for Analytical test prepare website like IndiaBix. These are enough for the preparation of analytical test.

So I got result on 3rd September that I cleared verbal test.

Interview is on 6th September. I had waited for 12 long hours for my name to be called for interview but I was not called for the interview. They asked us to come next day. On the next day my name was called around 3.20 PM.

There were around 15 panels totally allocated and I was asked to go for panel-3. All of my friends have finished their HR interviews but I was waiting for my TR interview.

TR+MR was conducted for me.

I: Interviewers.
M: Me.

Here it goes. !

M: May I come in?
I: There were two people in the panel, 1 TR(Lady) and 1 MR(Gent).

Please come in, take your seat.

M : Thank you Sir and Mam.

I : Tell me the meaning of your name (as I am having a tag in my name in the end). Do prepare your meaning of the names if they are unique.
M : Told.  (I prepared for this before).

I :  (MR) : Tell me about yourself?
M : Told for about 3 minutes. They said good. Mean while they were checking my resume.

I (TR) : I will tell all the questions asked for me and you can find those answers anywhere.

1. What is memory leak?

2. What is static variable in C?

3. What are local variable and global variables? and their default values.

4. What is method overriding?
If these kind of questions were asked, take yourself a chance and explain them with a program. They will be impressed that you know the concepts well.

5. What is cache memory?
I explained it with real time example.

6. Differences between C and Java?

7. Explain me about exception handling?
Explained everything with a program.

8. What is stack?

Asked some questions based on my resume. Make sure that you know everything that you have written in your resume.
And that's it! Both of the interviewers were impressed and told we are done.
I was happy and they told them thanks with a smile!

After 20 minutes results came and I was selected for the HR round.

It was around 4.10 PM.

Me: May I come in Sir?

HR: Please come in.
Me: Thank you sir and I gave my resume.

HR: What is your eamcet rank?
Me: Told.  (these kind of questions will be asked to check your spontaneity, they might ask your CTNo too).

HR: What is your long term goal?
Me: Told.

HR: What are your interests?
Me: Told that I am an active reader on Quora app and watching youtube.

HR: What do you watch?
Me: CS50 and few channels about gadgets.

HR: Started asking many questions on iphone, android versions, windows phone. These kind of questions will be asked to check your communications skills).
HR: When is Iphone 7 released?
Me: Today! ;).

HR: Good, drawbacks of iphone 6? what do you use?
ME: Told perfectly as I personally use Iphone.

HR: What is the latest technology?
ME: I was little tensed and told about Ethical hacking and its uses.

HR: What is cloud computing?
Me: Told.

HR: What are scale up and scale down operations?
Me: Sir, I don't know.

HR: Ok, no problem. Asked about my achievements and what did I do there?
Me: Told as I already prepared for it.

HR: Asked about my brother.
ME : Told.

HR : Asked questions like service agreement, relocation.
ME; Actually HR will explain us service agreement and bond. But I took the initiative and explained him. He was impressed with it and said ok I am done. He has taken my resume.

I greeted him and left.

Finally completed my interview after long wait of 18 hours in the college itself.

I was happy that I did not commit any mistakes and did not think about the result part.

In the night around 11.20 PM mail came from TCS that I got selected. I thanked god and my parents. They were happy.

Tips:

1. Practice the email writing well and you can have a look at tcs open seesame in the campus commune portal. The exam will be like same to same(screens).

2. Practice the analytical from above mentioned websites. It is more than enough.

3. If you are from IT or CSE background then make sure that you know 2 programming languages, DBMS (very important) , sql queries are very important.

4. Prepare for your favorite subject.

5. Prepare your resume well. Questions will be asked from it. I did not mention C++ and they did not ask a single question from it.

6. Prepare your mini project well and they will ask to write the code. Prepare some snippets of code and explain its functionality.

7. Dress well, it showcases your confidence.

8. You need to have patience to get selected for TCS. Take some snacks along with you.

9. Luck also plays major role. You work hard and try your best. Luck favors the hard workers.

10. Be honest, never lie with them.

11. They will make sure that you will not get tensed and they will create a peaceful environment by asking simple questions and they will start the show.

Thanks for reading.

Hope it helps. ! :) All the best. !

Tata Consultancy Serives Interview Experience - 01.09.2016 to 04.09.2016
Hello Guys,

I am Akash Chowdhury from (ECE )Heritage Inst of Technology, Kolkata. I had my campus recruitment drive on 1st  Sept, 2016.
As my CGPA was above 8.36 in by BTECH & 75% above in my class X and XII, so I had to sit for only verbal test i.e. email writing.

Aptitude test was of 30 marks.Time allocation was 80 minutes.1st email writing was there for 10 minutes after that Aptitude exam.

I had to write a email:

"Write a email to your friend Mr.Sharma congratulating him as he has wriiten a paper which is published in an International Journal."

Phrases was:

Congratulation-paper-nice-hard work-very easy-articulated-future scope-proud-my friend-pray.
Sign as Alex.

I don't know the aptitude questions but as far as I have heard that level was more or less easy.
At 8 pm Result was declared. And successfully I cleared my 1st round.

Successful candidates were asked to come on 3rd Sept at sharp 9 am.
Campusing process was started near about 10.30 am.
We had to make a queue and we had to wait for a long.

At last at near about 2.15pm my chance came. They called my name and I entered into that room.

There were minimum 60 panels. Volunteer asked me to go the panel which he showed me.

There was 2 Interviewers.

ME - Good afternoon sirs!
THEY - Good afternoon.Take your seat.
ME - Thank you sir.

THEY - Tell me something about Yourself
ME - Told.(mainly u have to tell about your academics, family background, hobbies and projects.)

        movies"?
ME - Told.

THEY - In which frequency it works?
THEY - Which motor and rotor you have used?
ME - Told.

THEY - Ok so in which programming language are you comfortable?
ME - I am confident in C.I know basics of  Core JAVA also.

THEY - Tell me how a C program usually runs?
ME - Told.

THEY - What is a preprocessor?
ME - I can't recall this answer at that moment. I told - "Sorry sir, I cant recall this right now."
If you don't know then don't hesitate or don't give foolish or wrong ans.
Simply say - I don't know sir. Otherwise you will be caught. Once you will be caught they will pressurize you.
THEY - I want to print 1 to 10 in reverse order. How I will do it?
ME - main()
      {
       printf("the numbers in reverse order are-");
             {
                for(int i=10;i>=1;i--)
             }
       }

THEY - Now I want to take User input. How I will do it?
ME -  main()
       {
         int n;
         printf("The highest number is-%d",n);
         scanf("%d",&n);
         printf("the numbers in reverse order are-");
             {
                for(int i=n;i>=1;i--)
             }
       }

THEY - What is Run time and Compile time error with respect to this program?
ME - If I write 'AKASH' instead of 'n' then compilation error will be shown as 'n' is integer and 'AKASH' is
      a character.

TCS Interview Experience - Lucknow, 19th March 2016
I am from CS background.

It was an off campus drive. I did not remember the exactly date of my aptitude round but maybe it was around 25-26th feb. Paper was really not the tough one. It contains 30 quantitative apti questions. If you solve around 21-22 questions you will selected for the next round. Paper also contains negative marking so keep in mind that. After 3-4 days of exam I got the mail that I have cleared the apti round and called for Technical round interview in LUCKNOW (Yes in my time who has cleared the technical round was again called for MR & HR Round in LUCKNOW). My Technical round was on 12th march in Lucknow. Try to wear formals because it really matters in interview. Well My technical round was like this:

Me: May I come in mam?

I: Yes, please have a seat.
Me:Thank you mam!

I: So tell me something about yourself.
Me: As that is general question but be prepare for that in short summary including your schooling, clg name, your strength, your final year Project & also curricular activities. But try to keep it in summarize way.

I: Ok. Tell me about your final year project.
Me: I explained the synopsis of the project. If you haven't decided the project then at least told about your summer training project,

I: In which languages you are comfortable with?
Me: As I was from CS background. I told about C and JAVA.

I: Explain the OOP concepts with this laptop.
Me: I tried to explain abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance & Polymorphism by taking example of laptop. I think she was satisfied with me.

I: Difference b/w structure & union?
Me: Explained well.

She also gave me a program in C. I didn't exactly what the program was.

I: Solve this puzzle.  (sorry I forgot the puzzle also).
Me: Tried but not actually solved the puzzle.

Well this was my technical round which lasts for 15 minutes. I tried to give my best and After 3 days I got the mail that My MR & HR round would be on 19 march.

MR round was like this:

It started with general question like "Tell me about yourself?your final year project?and then asked few questions about JAVA (oop Concepts, diff b/w interface & abstract class, Method overloading/overriding and few more). Then a quantitative question on speed and distance. After that why TCS not other?Would you do overtime?about your hobbies. And final question was "have you any questions"? I asked which skills should I improve to get in TCS?

And I also cleared the MR round. About after 1 hour There was HR round.

He asked me very few questions like your weaknesses, why tcs, why didn't selected in Oncampus, want to do further studies?Rest 1-2 questions are skipped from my mind.

Well after 4 days on 23rd march I got the mail that I was selected. This is one of the most important day in my life. First job happiness is really great.

The important thing in interview is I think they want to see candidate confidence and his genuinity along with the knowledge. If you don't know the answer please be genuine don't try to bluff them. How you tackle the situations. So Be confident in your interview.

Wish you GOOD LUCK!.

TCS Interview Experience - Pondicherry, August 2016
Hi friends! I'm Srinithaa, studying ECE in Pondicherry Engineering College and I got selected for TCS in campus drive :) I'm posting my experience in TCS because I referred IndiaBix interview experiences for TCS and it has helped me a lot :) So I'm making it a point to post mine in this website which might be useful for many students preparing for this company :) It might be a little long But please do read till the end (it might be useful and worth your time).

The selection process consists of :

1.  (a) Email Writing (10 minutes).

(b) Aptitude Round (80 minutes) (you can skip this round if you have CGPA above the direct HR cut off).

2. Interview.

ROUND 1:

The cut-off was such that students with CGPA >=8.5 were into direct HR. Obviously I had only 8.05 CGPA, so I had to attend the email & aptitude round. The really sad thing was last time, the Direct HR cut off was 8.0 and this year they increased to 8.5 : (So I had only 3 days to prepare for my aptitude round. Please don't think that I'm trying to frighten you, but TCS Aptitude has a better standard than most of the other written tests. But this does not mean that you cannot crack it :).

Make sure you know the answer & the method to solve each and every question given in all the links given. Refer 'FACE' academy questions if you want to be more confident. Go through the email writing questions given in the same website and I think this is more than sufficient to crack this round. The most important thing to remember while attempting the written round is time management. Make sure you brainstorm your ideas very quick for email writing. In the apti section, for every wrong answer you get a -0.33 NEGATIVE MARKING.

There are 30 questions in which 2 are STAR QUESTIONS (Correct answer to these questions will fetch you more marks and wrong answer will fetch you more negative marks) The key is to leave the questions in which you are not sure of. I heard that there are 2 DUMMY QUESTIONS (all the four options will be wrong) Please try to identify and avoid these questions as attempting these questions might risk your selection to next round.

I didn't attend 4 questions (including 1 star question) and I was confident about the remaining questions I answered. There is batchwise cut off in which they shortlist candidates and it is not done in an overall basis. The results were out in 2 days and I was through to the next round. 230 people were shortlisted out of 520 people for the interview :).

ROUND 2:.

The previous night before interview, I saw that my name was listed under Telecom panel (I seriously don't know what that was & I might have been listed here because my core was ECE) and I was a little tensed. This was because I was preparing with C & C++ the whole day. As it was 10 pm and I had the interview at 9 am 2moro, I couldn't help that anyway.

But I made it a point to google about what telecom division of TCS does and about the history, current CEO, CTO and latest news and events of TCS. I revised the basics of subjects which I had listed under my areas of interest, the previous day. On the D-Day I didn't prepare anything and when I went to college, I realised that I had to wait for 2 more hours for my turn. I was called in Panel 31 for my interview.

There was 1 interviewer whereas many of my friends had 2-3 people per panel. He was really friendly person who came from CSE background (He told me this). There were general HR questions like Tell me about yourself, Where do you see yourself 5 years from now, my final year project etc. Technical was from my areas of interest, Data Structures, Digital Signal Processing and I was given a circuit to find the current at a particular node.

I was not asked to write codes, but my friends were asked to write codes like fibonacci series, palindrome etc. Decent communication skills with basic subject knowledge and sufficient research about the company is more than enough to clear this round.

The main expectation of the HR is basic programming skills, the optimistic attitude with which you approach and answer the question. Results were out on the same day of interview (within 6 hours) 150 people were selected and I'm very happy to be one among them :).

TIPS:

Round 1:

1. Be thorough with this site.

Round2:

1. Completely google about the company before the D-Day.

2. Be yourself and be articulate in what you wanna convey.

3. Please say no politely if you cannot recollect or if you don't know the answer.

Hope my experience was helpful for you. There is no guarantee that if you get into direct HR, you are offered a job. Getting a friendly panel is purely based on luck (TCS arranges this order of list). Give it your best shot. Never lose confidence if you don't get in the company you are preparing for :) Never feel inferior or feel bad. Something big is waiting for you :).

All the Best! :) :D.

TCS Interview Experience - KOLKATA 2nd March 2016
Guys it is quit big story but I hope that it will obviously help you for your upcoming drive. I will give you the suggestion for the interview.

It was 10 Oct at my college campus that was TCS campus drive. I was cleared the aptitude but though I gave almost all the answers I was not selected through on campus. It was a very bad moment really for me.

But just after 2 days I was started analysing my performance I found some fault and upgrade myself. And after 4 months again there was TCS off campus was declared. I was able to clear the aptitude and also the interview this time. So the moral is that if you may not able to clear the on campus interview do not dishearten. I know the situation. But try to make an analysis of your performance. And be positive that you will do clear the interview. So you have to double your determination that you will surely clear the interview process. Do not think that you are not eligible. So now the points.

Aptitude test:

30 questions 80 minutes almost they are come from R. S. Agarwal, IndiaBix, also probability, and digits problem, time work, some puzzles are very imp which you can get from those sites.

Email writing:

10 minutes you have to write an email according to the instruction given. Make the tense as it is on the given qu. Avoid misspell and within the words limits. Most imp according to the sequence given in the question.

Interview:

I am from ECE so technical interview will be from very very basic question do not try to solve any math base problem or fourier etc etc. Questions are,

What is diode? what is jfet ?diff between jfet and mosfet? op amp basics like gain positive negative, feedback, ?v-i char curve of diode. What is zener diode?what is rectifier?

From digital and microprocessor they ask question.

Xor gate truth table diagram, flip flop like d, j-k flipflop, t flipflop only definition and diagram is enough, implementation of gates like xor using nand gate. Now diff between 8085 and 8086, name 8 bit and 16 bit registers, conditional unconditional statements. What is interrupt?, etc and also they ask pcm block diagram definition of tdm fdm and most imp nyquist rate sampling theorem.

These are the question I faced on my 2 interviews for TCS. My interview was going on 1 hr at college and off campus it was just 25 mints. Because I was fully confident at d time of off campus. If you try to be over smart they start asking you random question. They know about your knowledge. I experienced it.

Now programming:

From C programming you have to write code. You must practice coding. They ask swapping of two without using third var. Fibonacci, factorial, using func add two numbers, print your name using string func.  (all str func).

Bubble sort, merge sort, coding but you may explain also logic I was asked to write bubble sort coding and fibonacci series from c.

Then java it is quit easy. Polymorphism, method overloading method overriding diff, constructor, static like this you are asked to give an example of constructor with coding you can see javatpoint it is very helpful. Javatpoint is very useful.

You do not think that if you are giving the wrong answers you will be selected. They will catch you and spent time with you. If you are confident then only you give answer else you say I don't know. They will check body language. Your body language should be confident. And eye to eye contact. Do not try to waste interviewer time. Go very decent way make a handshake at the time of leaving the room. Be confident with your HR. Interview answers. HR Questions.

Why TCS? strong point weak point? how you can rectify your weak point? question from your hobby?so prepare your cv. Very well. They ask question according to your cv.

Whatever you write in your cv. Read that. That's all. So do not be negative you have to be positive when you enter d room you may have to wait for your turn for a long time but still you have to enter with smile and confident you will succeed. I waited for 8 hours for my turn.. So be positive. I was selected through off campus at march but getting joining letters with my friend who placed at on campus.

TCS OFFCAMPUS DRIVE EXPERIENCE - KOLKATA, 2nd march, 2016
PLACED IN TCS !!!!!!

Thank you all without them I can't get this success.

Here I want to share my experience of the campus drive.

Read this. It will help you.

For TCS off-campus drive, 1st I want to suggest you please fill up the application form very carefully. It was too lengthy and if you did any mistakes here then the hall ticket for the drive will not be generated, so try to do it with patience. without hall ticket, you can't able to sit on this drive.

In TCS off campus drive there were 3 rounds,

1. Written test
2. Technical interview
3. Personal interview

In the hall ticket, everything about the date, time, and venue of the written test were mentioned. My venue was in Regent Education & Research Foundation, Barrackpore, Kolkata. So please reach in time in your mentioned venue.

1. Written test:

Here two sections are there,

i) Email writing
ii) Aptitude

You have to write an email 1st within 10 minutes. TCS gives you the subject and the outline of the mail. you just put those words in your writing. try to write at least 100 words in proper English. Practice typing speed in your house with your PC. Please enters the outline words in your writing. After 10 minutes that window is closed.
Then another window opens for aptitudes. Here 30 questions are given and you get 80 minutes.
I suggest you 1st try to collect the concepts from R.S.Agarwal.

You have to do at least 25 questions correctly. I did 28 correctly. That is not very tough if you practice those. Permutation combination, probability, number systems, trains, steam and boat, velocity related questions are very important for TCS. 80 mins are enough for this. Don't tick with guess because negative marking was there. Cutoff marks probably 22-23 etc.

After 3 or 4 days they give you the congratulations mail if you selected. otherwise "sorry better luck next time" mail. Thank GOD it got the 1st one. Then they also give you the details of the further rounds and timings.

They take the interview at their Gitanjali park office in Rajarhat Newtown.

2. Technical interview:

In the provided date I reached that office. The buildings and systems are really nice. About 60-80 HRs were there and 30-33 cabins are also there. In each cabin there was 2-3 HRs.
When they call you enters the room and don't sit until they call you to sit.

My questions were.,

1. Tell me about yourself.

2. Why electrical engineering?

3. Why TCS?

4. Tell me about your project.

5. What is the special course you have done in 4 years? (as I mentioned I done PLC programming)

6. Do you know C, Java programming? ( I  know the only C)

7.  What is Array? Pointer? String?

8. Tell me what is circuit breaker? relay? (as I am from EE background)

9. Do you know guitar? ( I mentioned in CV)

10. What is your favorite subject and why?

I told all of these and then they told me go and sit outside if you selected I will call you. If you crossed this two round then you are too close to get this job.

3. Personal interview:

Here they check your result and other details.

After few days,  just before the day of Holi, I got the mail from them.

Congratulations to you. You are now a TCS'r. Please accept your offer letter.

That was the happiest day for me and my family because after 10 interviews in different companies finally I got placed with the no 1 IT company of India. thank you, TCS eagerly waiting for joining.

So, please read all these and I think you can also be a TCS'r.

Best of luck.

Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Mumbai, Online Test> March 02, 2016, Final Interview>March 20, 2016
Hi all, I am Suraj, Final Year Mechanical Engineering Student.

Mode: Off-Campus Mega Pool Recruitment, Mumbai 2016.
(This post will be more useful for all Non-IT/Mechanical students specifically)

1st Step: Online Aptitude Test.

> Difficulty Level: Moderate.

> No.of students: 1200 (Approx, because there were 2 shifts of 200 batch each at 3 different locations in Mumbai i.e. Andheri, Thane, Koparkhairane)

> No.of students selected: 200 (Approx, from the no.of entries in the register of the gate at the place of Interview i.e. at Head Office Of TCS, Thane.)

Section 1: Verbal.

> Golden Rule: Write 1st the Salutation & the ending part, at the beginning itself and then go for filling the Middle part.

And don't change the tenses of the given words, use as it is.

> Practice It: Add "TCS Verbal Ability Application" In your Google Chrome browser, It's free and available in PlayStore. Trust me It's damn useful, try to get at least 90/100 in it.

> CAUTION: Don't take this part lightly, even if you score full marks in Section 2 and if you are not able to clear this section, then you are 100% out of the process. TCS wants people with better communication skills.

Section 2: General Aptitude:

> General: Don't use RS Agarwal, It has now become totally absolute.

Try Arun Sharma CAT books (PDF Available freely on The Internet). It will definitely help you in brushing up more concepts in less time.

> Sequence Of Study:

1. Arun Sharma CAT Book.

2. "MOST IMPORTANT STEP" Previous TCS Aptitude questions from IndiaBix or any other sources. Around 50% will be repeated in nature.

3. Do 2nd Step WITHOUT FAIL & Revise it.

My Experience: Attempted 23/30.

Result: Selected For Interview.

2nd Step: Personal Interview [TR + MR + HR].

2.1: Technical Round + Managerial Round.

> Difficulty Level: VERY HARD.

> Duration: 25 Minutes.

If you are a Mechanical Engg, then your 1st question for 100% sure would be: "Being A Mechanical Engg, Why IT?"

Give some unique and satisfying answer to this question; I answered it in a way that, I assured my desire to work in TCS in next 10 years & would love to work in the EIS Dept.of TCS.

"Gooogle or TCS?"

"Why Only TCS?"

This being a TR/MR round you might be wondering why such questions, Mind you this are pre-filtering questions to make sure you truly wanted to work in TCS or Not!

After they were convinced with my answer, then came the Nuclear Bombs!
"Write a programme to check whether a string is a palindrome or not?"

Don't be under the disguise that since you are Mechanical, you won't be asking IT questions, they can ask you anything!

I wrote the same since I had one through my C subject of FE.

"How will you cope up with IT being a MECH for 4 years?"
I answered it well.

> Results: Selected for HR Round.

> Key points need to be strictly remembered: Smile, Confidence, Little Bit IT or at least C/C++ Knowledge.

>>> Golden Point: Give you 100% here, because, If you clear TR+MR round, you are 99% Selected, HR is just for formality<<<

> No.of students selected: Approx 125/200.

2.2: HR round:

As previously Mentioned, just a Formality.

> Introduce Yourself.

> Your Family.
> Documents Verification (As I have said, you are already IN, so they will check whether Info you have given is true or not.)

> "Will let you know by Mail you If you are IN or OUT"

Final Conclusion: Selected with 3.5LPA CTC.

All The Best For you future.

If you liked the article, please hit an upvote, So that more people can get benefit through it!

Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Nashik March 02 2016
Hello everyone,

I am from K. K. Wagh College of Engineering, Nashik. I attended TCS off campus test at Sapkal COE, Nashik on 2nd march 2016.

First of all, fill the application form very properly because many of my friends didn't receive their hall ticket due to improper filling of form.

Test pattern for TCS:

1. Email writing (10 minutes):

I got the topic something like some editor has written an article on intolerance in a newspaper and I am impressed with the article. So write an email to appreciate him for the article.

They give some keywords that must be included in our email. One tip that write those keywords on rough page so that we did not need to scroll down and up many times to save time.

2. Aptitude test (80 minutes):

The first tip is keep your calculator with you because TCS allows calculator and that helps you a lot.

The test is easy but there is negative marking. Out of 30 questions I solved 19 questions but I was sure that all are right. So solve only those which you are sure.

On 4th March, I got the mail that I have successfully cleared the test. I was very happy b'coz I heard that cracking TCS apti is also a big achievement and if you clear TCS apti 80% of your selection is done.

The another mail about my TCS interview schedule was received to me on 9th March. The interview was scheduled on 11th March in Shirpur Dhule around 200 kilometers from my hometown.

11th March, I reached the venue at 10 AM. Around 111 students were present.

Interview process of TCS is divided into:

- Technical
- Managerial
- HR

Technical:

I entered into the interview hall which was having 8 interviews taking separate 8 interviews. When I reached to my Interviewer.

T - Hello Akash, my name is Rajiv (giving a handshake).
(Me shaking hand with him very confidently and with smiling face)
Me - Good Afternoon sir.

T - Have a seat Akash.
Me - Thank you, sir.

T - So Prakash please tell me about yourself that is not there in your resume.

Actually, I was expecting this question but I forgot to remove the hobbies part from my resume so that I can tell about my hobbies.

But as he was busy in seeing my first page of resume and my hobbies were on 3rd page I started telling. Sir, I like watching movies, listen to the song, etc.

T - (interrupting me in between) so you like watching movies. Which movie you watched recently.
Me - Yes sir I like watching movies. Recently I watched Bajirao Mastani (bcoz I know something about that movie, so I told that 4-month-old movie)

T - So you liked the movie?
Me - Yes sir.

T - Don't you think that the movie doesn't follow the bravery of Bajirao and the love story was very highlighted?
Me - Sir its a movie and some masala are essential for the indian movie to attract people. Like this, he continued for about 20 minutes on this.

T - Akash does you know C and C++?
Me - (very confidently) Yes sir!!

T - Good. and he jumped to my project.

on the project, he interviewed me 20 minutes. They have internet access with them so they search many things on our project for asking questions.

This way ended with my technical interview.

After 2 hours I was called for MR round.

Questions asked:

- Introduce yourself.
- About your project.
- Your strengths and weaknesses
- Why your marks goes on decreasing from 10th diploma and BE.
- I think they check your honesty and communication skills here not your knowledge.

Then many students were told to go home after this round.

Fortunately, I was called for the last interview. If you are called for the last interview then you are 90% done to get selected in Asia's largest IT company.

In HR, very calm and cool person was there.

He was just doing formality of asking questions like,

- You have to maintain 60% after your pass out
- Will you relocate to Chennai (say yes even ti seria)

Only 2 questions in HR.

This way my interview was completed.

On the 22nd March, I received mail for selection. From 111 students around 60-65 got selected. In aptitude from around 600 students, 111 got selected.

All the best and hopefully see you at TCS.:).

Tata Consultancy Services Interview Experience - Kolhapur, Maharashtra. March 31, 2016.
Hello Everyone,

This is Pradip D. Kadam from Govt. College of Pharmacy, Karad. I have completed B.Pharm. from GCOP, Karad and currently pursuing M.Pharm. II from the same college. One of my friends told me about pool campus organized by Bharti Vidyapith College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur for Tata Consultancy services. I have studied for aptitude and pharmacovigilance for hardly 3 days. TCS took this interview for Pharmacovigilance management post with whooping 2.62 per annum starting package.

Interview pattern consists of 4 parts.

1. Face to face interview. (Any topic of your choice)

2. Aptitude Test. (43 Marks test)

3. Technical Round. (Pharmacovigilance, Clinical trials, Pharmacology)

4. HR Interview. (Telephonic Interview)

Reporting time at the venue was 9:00 to 9:30 AM on 31st March 2016. After registration and inauguration ceremony, HR head of TCS panel delivered PPT presentation regarding the company, products & services, BPS, Pharmacovigilance Management, salary info with instruction and what they are looking for in the candidates.

1. Face to Face Interview:

At the first HR panel told us that they will take Group Discussion but later on the spot switched to face to face interview. This made chaotic situation in students mind. They asked us to prepare on any one of the topic of one's own choice in depth. I went for "Make in India vs Made in India". I prepared meritorious and demeritorious point regarding each concept & delivered with full confidence. Meanwhile, abruptly HR asked me about my family background. And the final question was "Tell me any memorable incident or day that you will not forget lifelong".

I gave the answer to each and every question with confidence & positive body language. I clearly noticed that HR was not paying attention toward "What I said, instead he was more interested in" how I said. So confidence in voice, command of English and positive body language is the key.

2. Aptitude Test:

Aptitude test consists of 43 marks, one mark for each question & no negative marking was there. To clear the aptitude test "Indiabix.com" website was really helpful. Test was really simple as I got 36 marks. It consist of verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and computer skill related questions.

They selected 31 candidates for TR & HR round.

3. Technical Round:

Technical round was very easy as they ask questions related to Pharmacovigilance, Clinical trials, and Pharmacology. The panel provides more preference for clinical trial related question.

My question was as follows,

i) What is a peptic ulcer?

ii) Explain pathology of peptic ulcer.

iii) Causative organism for peptic ulcer.

iv) In peptic ulcer patient, when the stomach pain will be high? Day, Night or Afternoon.

v) Give any drug to cure leprosy.

vi) What is the importance of Pharmacovigilance?

vii) Importance of phase 4 clinical trial.

I answered every question as I was well prepared. If you don't know the answer to any question then simply and politely say "I don't know, sir". Don't pretend and be honest with you and panel.

The questions I can't answer were as follows,

i) What is phase 0 clinical trial?

ii) What is phase 5 clinical trial?

Later interviewer himself answered these questions with clear-cut understanding. I also understood & thanked him. After completion of TR, they asked to wait outside. Within the 5 min. they called my name & told you are through to HR. Ones I cleared TR I was really ecstatic because I was weak in technical knowledge.

4. HR Round:

HR round was a telephonic interview. On the spot, I got to know about telephonic interview hence perplexed but regained my courage. I was well prepared for HR round from indiabix.com, jntufastupdates.com etc websites. So I was pretty much happy & confident about this round.

Following questions were asked by HR Madam,

i) What is your strength?

ii) Why should I hire you?

iii) Explain how you are quick learner?

iv) How do you feel about working nights and weekends?

v) If I ask your friends "How is Pradip or What is the nature of Pradip?", then what will be the friends answer?

vi) If anyone criticize you then what will you do?

vii)  Are you a team player?

viii) If any task should be done by you all alone then what will you do?

After that HR madam asked me to hand over the phone to HR who was next to me.  I was asked to wait outside. I was pretty sure and confident that they are going to hire me from the positive intended voice of HR manager. I was the first person who was selected by TCS in that pool campus. Among the 100 students, 12 candidates were selected for Pharmacovigilance Management post. I was really jubilant as it was my first interview experience and I conquered it easily.

In a nutshell, I would like to advise my friends and juniors to be confident, be sure about your answer and express yourself in a positive manner. Last but not least command on English makes the difference. They look for the candidates with good communication skills instead of knowledge because either way their rigorous training period going to mold us into skillful professionals. Hope this will be helpful.

TCS Interview Experience - Pune, December 18, 2015
Hi everyone. I attended the TCS off Campus in Pune.

First Round: Email writing and Aptitude.

I prepared from Campusgate and R S Aggarwal that's just enough for TCS. Prepare 3-4 emails from internet.

Round 1: Next was TR round. He saw my resume and I asked questions from the fields where my interest was C, C++, Java, HTML and like OOPS concept, interface in Java, diamond problem in C++, multiple inheritance, servlets in Java and about my project. He gave me two programs to write, Fibonacci series and a pattern.

I gave all the answers well. So he told me then and there that you have been selected and go for your MR round.

Round 2: Next was MR round. He told me to be comfortable. He asked about my background, hobbies, strengths and weakness. The situational questions like being a girl what would you do if you are asked to work late at night in office? etc.

And the last question was Impress me in 2 minutes!!!

Round 3: It was just a formality. She asked about relocation, and normal stuff.

After 1 week I got the email that I have been selected!!!!!!!

  1. Hello There,

Great post. Well though out. This piece reminds me when I was starting out TCS Interview Experience-1 after graduating from college.

I need to check how many numbers in strings of 16 numbers is less than for an example 6.
I only need a main rutine..

Excellent tutorials - very easy to understand with all the details. I hope you will continue to provide more such tutorials.

    Cheers,
    Preethi
