Wipro Interview Experience - VSSUT, BURLA 24/09/16

Hello Guys,

Wipro is one of the top most company in the world. We had a campus drive in our college on 24 & 25th October 2016. At first, there was a PPT presented by one of the Senior HR in our auditorium. AMCAT conducted the written test.

The total students were divided into 2 sections.
1. Toppers and Non- Toppers. I was among the toppers Section.

Written Test:

Toppers Criteria (Career should be > 75%):

1. Technical (12 questions 15 mins)
2. Essay Writing (Only if you qualify in Technical u will be able to attend this). Essay writing is so easy just to check spelling mistakes and typing speed guys please don't copy and paste it from INTERNET. (Strict advice)

Non -Toppers:

1. Aptitude, Logical, English (48 questions I guess).
2. Technical.
3. Essay Writing.

Cut off for toppers 7/12 (Not sure).

If you qualify the written test then you will be called for the Technical Interview if one qualifies this then HR interview. Total out of 260 students in the toppers section 110 qualified and out of 280 in non-toppers section 86 students qualified in the written test.

My interview experience:

Technical Interview:

Wipro's technical interview is not so easy you need to have some preparation if you are a CSE/IT guy and for others some basic programs and knowledge on C& C++.

Hr: Tell me about yourself but with one condition Do not repeat a single word that you have written in your CV.

Me: I said it but I was not satisfied myself. I was bit nervous while answering this but after this, it went finely.

Hr: Why IT?
Me: Explained.

Hr: Told to write a program.
Me: Done & explained.

Hr: Fav. Subject and many technical Questions from my branch subjects (DATA STRUCTURES NETWORKS, OS) not a single question from C & C++.
Me: Except 1 question I have answered all the questions.

There were some HR questions and from your CV, so go through your CV properly.

Hr: Asked any questions for him?
Me: Asked.

Hr: He gave handshake and told nice to meet you.
Me: Thank you, Sir.

My interview went for 40 minutes.

The HR who interviewed me was one of the coolest person I have ever met. I passed the technical interview then within a few minutes I was called for HR round.

HR ROUND:

Basic HR questions about yourself, family, Why Wipro, Relocation, etc...

This is so easy they just check your communication skills and presence of mind, attitude.

A total of 126 students qualified in Technical interview out of 187. Then Finally 114 qualified the HR Round. So Basically HR round is also an elimination round.

My advice: Be confident in yourself and try to attend the interview. Don't bluff, speak the truth and always maintain a smile on your face and keep an eye contact with the HR.

Results came after 1 week my name was there in the list and that was the happiest moment.

ALL THE BEST GUYS.

Wipro Interview Process - NUZVID & 24-09-2016

I have attended and got an opportunity to work in WIPRO during the campus recruitment drive which is conducted on 24-09-2016 in our university (RGUKT Nuzvid). The recruiters have divided the student into two categories 83% criteria (topper criteria) and 65% criteria. Fortunately, I belonged to 83% criteria so no need to attend for a test on Aptitude, Reasoning, English. I would like to explain the procedure for 83% criteria.

From my experience, I can strongly say that anybody who has the ability to express thoughts in English can get a job in campus interviews and please do not feel tense. If you have failed in any interview please do not worry because you may get an opportunity better than previous.

Procedure includes 3 steps:

1) Technical test and essay writing.
2) Technical interview.
3) HR interview.

1) Technical test and essay writing:

For technical test of Wipro, you can prepare from AMCAT PDF on programming which you can download from internet and most of the questions are from this only. Essay writing can be easily written by anyone who has basic knowledge of English. Essay writing is helpful for you to get job easily if you score more but not for elimination so don't worry about it.

In this stage, I have got 10 marks out of 12 in technical objective test and scored 5 out of 5 in essay writing which helped me a lot to go through the further selection process.

2) TR interview:

When I have entered the room I felt somewhat tense. Manager offered me some water and I have accepted it. After this, I felt very cool and Interview went on very nicely.

Questions:

1) Tell me about yourself?
2) Your scores are quite decent in technical test and essay writing (5 out of 5) how did you prepare for this?
3) Why did you choose ECE?
4) Tell me one incident which motivated you? (I have placed in resume that watching motivational videos is my hobby)
5) Tell me about innovative thoughts you have?
6) Why should I hire you?
7) What are your favorite subjects in subjects in ECE?
8) What do you know about Bluetooth?
9) Why share it is faster than Bluetooth?
10) How can you measure analog and digital signals?
11) Do you have any questions to ask me?

I have tried to answer every question. My advice to you is please try to give the relevant answer if you don't know the exact answer. Be brief but never hesitate to use sufficient words. Answers does not matter in an interview they will check you whether you are able to express your thoughts or not. Listening skills are also very important you must try to understand the question on one go and as much as possible don't ask for the repetition of questions.
I have cleared TR interview.

3) HR interview:

Once you cleared TR, 95% of the procedure is completed. In HR, they asked me common questions.

Questions:

1) Tell me about yourself which is not there in resume?
2) Tell me about your family?
3) Why have you chosen Wipro to work?
4) Have you read any motivational books? (I said yes)
5) Explain me about the book which you have read?
6) What are your hobbies?
7) Who is your favorite teacher and why is it so?
8) Why have you not improved your communication skills yet?
9) Are you ready to work anywhere and sign the bond period?

After this, they have said that you can leave. I felt that they may reject me but on next day the result was announced and I felt happy on seeing my name on the selection list.

My final suggestion is anybody can crack the campus interviews if they can speak minimum English so be cool and try to perform well. Don't worry if you have failed because so many opportunities are there in today's world.

Wipro Interview Process - Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Tirupati, 12-09-2016

Hi friends,

I am Venkata Ramana from Computer Science and Systems engineering in Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College.

Today I am going to share my interview experience with you.

There will be three rounds in Wipro selection process.

(1) Written test.
(2) Technical round.
(3) HR round.

(1) Written test:

Wipro came to our campus on 12th September. Actually, Wipro selection process is of two types.

1)Topper's criteria.
2)General criteria.

The difference between the two is in topper's criteria in return test they have to take only Programming test and essay writing only whereas remaining has to attempt.

1) Verbal ability.
2) Quantitative ability.
3) Reasoning ability.
4) Programming test.

If you qualified in all above sections then you get essay writing on screen otherwise, you can leave. In that situation when my time is running out I got tense whether I can get an essay or I have to leave. In that situation, I got essay writing on a screen. After writing essay they asked us to wait in auditorium for results. And I was shortlisted for technical interview. They asked us to come at 9:30 the next day.

(2) Technical Round:

This is the major part of the selection, in which our skills are tested. The person who is from non-IT can relax up to some extent. They had to be thorough with basics of C and Data Structures. Students who are from IT domain had to be thorough with C, Data Structures, OOP concepts and your areas of interest such as DBMS and Operating Systems. For me, interviewer asked me some concepts related to C and C++. And then he tested me how I was with DBMS and asked more than 15 questions related to keys, constraints, definitions and more queries. Later he asked some concepts on operating systems while he asking I said him that I was not comforted with OS concepts. After that by asking some questions related to general topics, he congratulated me that I was selected for HR round.

(3) HR round:

It is very simple round that we can succeed it mainly with our smile, here you can face some questions such as,

1) Tell me about yourself?

2) Why should I hire you?

3) Why Wipro?

4) Are you planning for your higher studies?

5) Strengths and weaknesses.

6) Hobbies etc.

While answering such questions you have to be active and spontaneous. Don't eliminate your smile. After answering all questions, she asked me any queries. I asked about company's environment and she explained. Then she asked me to leave.

Finally, results are out after two weeks and I got shortlisted for Wipro which makes me feel happy.

Maybe it will be useful for you.

All the best.

Wipro Interview Experience - Kolkata FIEM 01/09/2016

I am going to keep it short and simple.

Wipro recruitment process:

1) Aptitude.
2) Essay Writing.
3) Technical.
4) HR.

Now, there are two groups. TopGroup and others (nobody cares about you, you know :D)

How to know if you belong to TopGroup or the other normal group?

Simple. If you got 75% or above in 10th, 12th and B.Tech you belong to TopGroup.

The only advantage of being a topper is you don't have to give aptitude test. Wait, wait don't get your hopes high. You have to give the technical aptitude, where you have to answer all those MCQ type questions based on C, Java, DBMS, DS.

Rest of you have to go through Quants (16 questions), Verbal (25), Logical (16), Technical (14)
.
.
.
Enough!!

1. Know the basics of quants. (formulas, short methods).

Because Time management is a huge thing!

2. Expand your knowledge of vocabulary.

Because this will help you in verbal ability.

3. Know the basics of C, Java, DBMS, DS, C++.

How to not get eliminated in TI and PI:

- For god's sake do not bend or lean on the table.
- Be loud (Naah not like a airhorn).
- Seat straight.
- Maintain eye contact (but pls don't you dare think you and the interviewer are playing "who close their eyes first" game)

CARRY YOU PEN! NEVER BORROW PEN FROM YOUR INTERVIEWER. (you my sister/ brother are going home then).

Please learn how to speak in English. (If you don't know that's okay just be confident)

Last, if you are eliminated don't worry a stupid company is not going to decide your future.

I was rejected :D.

Doing fine. You are going to learn a lot through this process. Grab the opportunity and build yourself.

Bye bye.

Wipro Interview Experience - RNSIT, Bangalore 20th September 2016

The day started with WIPRO PPT and briefing about the procedures. There was a division made based on marks, 80% throughput (10th, 12th, and Engineering) were in toppers division and others were in Non-toppers division. I belonged to toppers division hence I just had 2 rounds Technical Aptitude and Essay writing. Others had aptitude and Technical aptitude and essay. It was conducted by Aspiring Minds/AMCAT pattern.

I cleared the initial online test and was sent for technical interview. Technical interviewer asked many questions and simple C programs like binary search, basics about DS and queries in DBMS. I cleared that and went for HR. HR was to see the confidence and communication. 119 were finally selected and I was one among them.

Wipro Interview Experience - Karnataka and 18/9/2016

Hi friends, I am going  to share my interview experience - Wipro.

First, they gave presentation on their company.

After that PPT, they split into two groups i.e., toppers (80% above in both 10 and 12 and in degree also) and non-toppers .

Round 1:

I was one of those among toppers. For toppers round 1 was technical question mainly on C, C++, DS (total 12 question in 15 min) and it was very basic question there was sectional cut off and then written in this I got the topic when you went for the trip for a year? what u will as one thing apart from your clothes and personal belongings? mention what and why?

Round 2 (Technical):

It was very cool.

1) Tell me something about yourself?

2) The interviewer asks me to write swap the two number with or without using variable, as I was from CS background it was damn easy for me.

3) I explained my DBMS project and then he asked the difference between unique key and primary key.

4) Later he asked me to write syntax of GROUPBY query.

5) Difference between having and where .

That's all I remembered.

Round 3 (HR):

Around 12:30, I called for HR round interview.

Me: May I come in sir!!!
I: Yes, come in, Good afternoon, how are u? had your breakfast?
Me: Thank you, sir, I am fine, yes I had my breakfast.

I: Tell you something about yourself?
Me: Told.

Then he scans my resume and asks me Family background.

I: You have any year gap or any backlog in your subject?
Me: No sir.

I: Which programming language you know?
Me: C language.

I: About my awards and my team work in college and about my workshop that I mentioned in my resume.
Me: Told.

I: You have any question?
Me: I asked so many questions, he gave an answer.

And in the evening @5:30 we got result I am the one among 51 students.

Tips:

Practice Aptitude from R. S. Agarwal and go through the online test, it makes you faster.

For technical, choose one programming language C/C++/Java thoroughly. And also project you mentioned in the resume. Choose one favorite subject (DS, DBMS, OS, etc) and be thorough with that subject.

Hope this helpful to crack the interview!!! Thank you.

P.S: Wipro mainly focus on marks, so please study little more.

ALL THE BEST!!!

Wipro Interview Experience - Pune, August, 2015

Sudhir Kumar Roy from Asansol Engineering College.

Hello guys. Today I share you my experience on Wipro. I applied off campus and after we have to come for test. I gave test from Nagpur due to some family issue. Apti round basically from AMCAT.

There are 3 section. Quant, Verbal, and Logical. All 3 round consist of 16 question each. After qualifying this round, a new screen were opened and that is for automata test. That means programming test. 2 questions are there. I solved one. The result were out around 2 week and I was selected. We had to come for next round that is Technical + HR. They call us at Pune. In technical round, they deeply go inside your resume and ask whatever your subject choice of written on that. I answered all of the question. Basic question like Polymorphism, Inheritance, Socket, etc.

Last round were HR round. This is the most difficult round in Wipro. Guys I want to tell you. Never behave or treat like you beg or eager for job. They will not select you. Only one HR asked me about myself. They talk me like a friend. After completing HR round. HR said, "Chalega" means you will select.

2 weeks later, they sent us mail. In mail, they written like "we are regret as you are not qualify" that means I was not selected. That was the worst moment of my life because all round were cleared well then why there were not select me. That's the big question. Hope, after reading this you will feel nervous but don't. You are not unlucky like me. So, prepare well specially for HR Round. Thank you

Wipro Interview Experince - Jodhpur, Raj. 30 Oct. 2015

Hello, we assembled in our auditorium at 9.00 am, the process began with a pre placement talk.

The selection process of Wipro is very easy. It just needs 50 days study only.

There are 3 sections for selection in Wipro.

First is GD. I was nervous about it because of my communication skills but I prepared about 100 topics for it. You just need to speak 8 or 10 lines about the given topic. You should try to show your leadership quality in GD. It gives a good impression to the examiner. I was the first who started the discussion on the topic. My topic was very simple that was Indian Education. After 1 hr result was declared and I cleared this round.

Next day, I went for an online test. That was very simple but it required a good calculation speed because each question has to solve in 1 minute only. There were total 5 parts.

First - English and Grammar.

Second - Quantitative aptitude.

Third - Reasoning.

Fourth - Technical part (which was related to Java, C, C++, DSA).

Last was the simple easy writing.

After 1 hr later result was declared and cleared it too. I was too much happy that time.

If you clear GD and written test it means your selection possibility is 60%.

I waited for TR. He asked me simple questions. They were related to JAVA. Examiner handshaked and wished me congratulations. It was the best moment for me.

After that I went for HR. he just passed the time with me and wrote "SELECTED " on my resume. After 4-6 days later I got offer letter of Wipro.

Total participation - 350.

GD cleared - 330.

Aptitude cleared - 80.

After technical and HR, 54 were selected.

Just be confident, always look in the eyes of the interviewer, don't interrupt while he is talking, just pretend like you are a keen listener and a good learner.

Don't lose hope, don't have negative thoughts, do your best and succeed.

All the very best to all, meet you in Wipro.

WIPRO Interview Experience - Bhubaneswar, Sept 18 2015

Hello, I am here to share my interview experience of WIPRO. WIPRO came for on campus drive on 18 Sept 2015 at Silicon Institute of technology, Bhubaneswar. We all were told to report at 8.30 am in the morning with all the necessary documents at the PPT hall. Unlike previous placements it didn't had GD. The recruitment team arrived at 10 am.Then after giving the PPT they took us for the AMCAT test. As they had decided the topper's criteria that CGPA above 8.0 I was also selected for a 17 mins AMCAT test.

Then the test began at 11 am and the results were declared and almost all the students including me and except a few have qualified that and were selected for technical and HR interview.

My interview was at 5.30 pm. When my turn came I went to the chamber then the HR told me to take the seat then asked the technical question from OS, DBMS, Data structure and some questions from my branch subjects. Then he kept my boarding pass and said I was done.

Then the results were declared and I was selected for HR interview. My interview was at 9.15 pm. Then I went to my panel and when the HR saw me she told I look tired then asked some questions. Then after 10 mins she told I was done.

After 4 days the results were declared and when I browsed my name in the list I didn't found my name there.I felt sad and felt like I was ditched by the luck.

NOTE: Remember one thing that you were selected for the HR does not mean that you are selected for the job. The HR is in the double mind to eliminate or select you.

Hope my Interview experience is useful for other candidates seeking for a job.

Wipro Interview Experience - VJTI, Mumbai, September 16, 2015.

PPT and Test was on 16/08/15 and result on 21/08/15.

Wipro campus recruiting process includes following three steps for an associate telecom engineer (ONLY FOR EXTC AND ELECTRONICS):-

1. Aptitude Test.
2. Technical interview.
3. HR interview.

1. Aptitude Test (45 questions within 50 mins).

Is was online test taken on cocubes. All these questions were on screen and you can move in any section.

(A) General aptitude :

Qualitative analysis, logical reasoning and verbal ability all were together with again two sections:

(1) Qualitative analysis + verbal ability 20 questions and (2) logical reasoning 25 questions.

The level was very basic no questions from standard books were given but it was time consuming if not practiced from those standard book.

(B) Technical aptitude (30 questions within 30 mins).

It includes 3-4 parts of questions randomly arranged i.e. C programming with some code and o/p or errors it was bit easy if very scratch c program knowledge is well known. Electronic circuits given and find current, voltage. Communication based questions likes frequency for a condition given. Microprocessor based, control system based.

All technical question were too basic to its level.

From my college out of 80 students 62 were shortlisted for interview rounds.

2. Technical interview(25 mins).

I'll only list down question asked by him.

1. What is SDN/NFV?

2. What is recent trend in telecom and networking fields?

3. What is template in c?

4. Do you know how to manage memory?

5. Do you know Data structures?

6. What is cloud computing and big data analysis?

7. What is your favorite subject throughout acads?

8. What are modulation techniques in signal and system (actually he was asking about modulation techniques in communication, I made it clear )

9. How do you think your academic subjects are important in technical fields?

10. Tell me something about your internship?

11. So what do you learn from internship, what was your role, so what is embedded system in your words?

12. What is your future plans?

13. What is your creative idea that you want to implement?

14. How do you know all this networking knowledge as you don't have any subject related to networking in acads and you also not selected one networking subject as elective in 6th sem?

15. Why only wipro?

16. Is this your first interview?

17. Are you okay with relocation?

18. Why I should hire you specifically?

"That's it thank you, you can wait out for results for HR interview."

3. HR Interview(22 mins).

It was very free conversation. Again no common questions were asked like tell me about yourself and all those it was merely based on my resume what I have put on it, is it correct or not she was checking that and also told me to elaborate each points of my personal skills and strength.

I tried to give a very simple and proper justification for why I wrote these skills on my resume she was quite impressed at last she asked me do you know about 15 months bond?, Any problems in relocation?, and do you know about our new drive of 2 subjects from wipro will be included in your final sem and one internship at GMT at wipro as your final sem project?.

"That's it from my side do you have any question?."  I said how do you came up to such peak level from your initial stages along with wipro in life, she narrated her story very quickly which I hardly understood as it was full of management language but still I gave very different expression at each point to show that I my understanding it.

After that we all went to our respective home town and then result was out in which my name was included. I am very happy for being placed in wipro.
